Welcome to Weltempfänger Hostel

Thank you for your interest in our site and booking in our hostel! We try to make your stay in Cologne as pleasant as possible. By the way, we are very interested in keeping the ecological footprint of our guests as small as possible. For example, we produce our own electricity in the, using a block-type thermal power station. We purchase wind gas from Greenpeace Energy and additional electricity from the eco-provider Naturstrom. Our coffee is organic and fair from Van Dyck, our eggs come from the regional organic farm Hof Alpermühle and there are also many organic/fair products in the other assortment.

The Hostel Weltempfänger

The Weltempfänger Hostel is situated on the edge of the city centre of Cologne. The underground station “Piusstraße” of lines 3 and 4 is directly in front of our door. The escalator will take you nearly directly to our café. A detailed description of the hostel can be found here.

The Café Weltempfänger

The public café of the same name is located in the same house. Of course, our hostel guests can stay here without any obligation to eat. Our own liqueur “Gärtner” and our own beer brand “Brú”, however, are available for you chilled -). Our daily breakfast buffet is also set up in the café. You can find a map with all our goods here.

Events

We organize irregular live concerts on our small stage. As a rule, we do not charge admission and only ask for a donation for the artists.
